A superhero costume is one of the most popular Halloween costumes. Many superhero deadpool costume were popular among trick-or-treaters, but which were the most popular?
Anyone with even a passing interest in movies or television has undoubtedly observed the phenomenal growth in popularity of superhero flicks. What is the appeal of superheroes? One of the reasons is that they represent the eternal conflict of good vs evil. Furthermore, superheroes exemplify a variety of qualities that many people admire. Then there are those who recall heroes from their infancy with fondness. This keeps their interest in these heroes alive. For some, the fact that superheroes are downright cool is enough to make them intriguing. As a result, it should come as no surprise that superhero movies are popular, and it should come as no surprise that superhero Halloween masks are perennial favourites. Yes, there are a plethora of superhero masks and costumes to pick from.
Even those who are not fans of superheroes like dressing up in a superhero outfit. Of course, the most popular mainstream superheroes are the most commonly worn costumes.
However, other superheroes with a large following base have also made their way into the October festivities.
- Superman – Even if you’ve never read a comic book or seen a superhero movie, you’ve probably heard of, and perhaps even like, Superman. There have been some great Superman costumes, as well as some duds. The Superman outfits with the synthetic muscles are a tad out of hand, but they do aid those of us with lesser frames. Because it’s virtually full-body underpants, you might want to think twice about wearing it, as you might with several other superhero Black Widow costume.
- Batman – This costume is identical to the last one (unless you have a really intricate and pricey Christian Bale version), but you may spice it up with some accessories. The Batman utility belt comes in a variety of styles, and you can select whether or not to wear the bat gauntlets.
- Iron Man – Obviously, this was not as popular until recently. Some of the Iron Man costumes that were released shortly after the first film were rather pathetic-looking, but the Halloween 2010 version has greatly improved. There are several that look metallic and have great-looking helmets, such as the one worn by Robert Downy, Jr. in the movies. Others are more based on the suit’s appearance in comic books and television shows. It’s difficult to go wrong with this superhero outfit.
- Spider-Man – This may be the most popular superhero outfit ever. The majority of the versions are very identical, with the only variances being the existence of false muscles and the size of the eye-holes. The black symbiote costume is the coolest variation.
- Wonder Woman – The most popular female superhero outfit by far. Some are more revealing than others, but the most are very much the same.
There are some costumes that you’d assume would be a touch more popular due to their presence on the big screen. The X-Men don’t wear costumes in the movies that would make them identifiable to people who aren’t lovers of superheroes. Some Wolverine costumes from comic books and TV shows are available, but there’s a reason he didn’t wear that version in the movies. Punisher’s outfit is limited to a skull t-shirt, and there is no Daredevil costume available for purchase. Fans must create their own costumes based on these figures.
Thor, Green Lantern, and Captain America are three superhero costumes that should see increased sales in the near future. Let’s hope that whoever sells these makes them accurate.
